Sydney & Wollongong Fishing Report

John fished the Hacking mid last week using live squid and was smashed by smaller Kings. He then trolled with a Williamson Tuna Catcher Flasher and caught plenty of Tailor around the 40cm mark, with only a few seconds between each hook up.

The St George & Sutherland Shire Anglers had their Estuary Championship competition recently with plenty of success. Lots of Bream, Flathead and Whiting to name a few species caught in the comp.

Lots of small Kingfish around the navigation markers in Botany Bay. The Slug-go 6in plastics in the Mackerel colour have been working well. They’re great fun on light gear!

John fished Port Hacking on Monday for a bag of Tailor on trolled Christmas tree lures. He also caught his fair share of Kingfish while using both live Squid and Jackson Bottom Magic Lures

Trevally have been caught over near the container wall in Botany Bay.

Some bigger Dolphinfish are now being seen and caught out at the FADs.

One of our customers recently caught a good Snapper while trolling off Jibbon Bombie for Kings.

The artificial reef off Cronulla has been fishing well for good sized Flathead around it.

Adam Hunt released a Blue Marlin yesterday afternoon estimated at 150kg, 800 fathoms East of Port Kembla trolling a pink Polu Kai lure. He reports cobalt blue water with plenty of bait and bird life.

Sam Rogers and Mitch fished yesterday morning under the Sea Cliff Bridge for a few nice Bonito and also a Samson fish. The Jackson Artist FR105 and the Athlete 9JM were the lures doing the damage!

Ahn Nguyen took his new Bone Dash 90S for a spin and caught a nice King on it.

Lachlan Shrubb is pictured with a huge 70lb Jewfish he speared in 70ft of water.

Dean Gates the little legend is pictured with his first ever Sailfish catch at the ripe ol’ age of four. It was caught off Exmouth WA but we thought it was still worth sharing!
