Sydney & Wollongong Fishing Report

Snapper and Kingfish are being caught off Bass Point in Shellharbour using Jackson G-Control Lures.

John and Leon fished for bait friday morning and after catching Squid and Yakka they moved on to bigger and better things, Bonito and Kings to 60cm to be exact just off Cronulla.

The Port hacking FAD and other private FADs have Dolphinfish to 80cm being caught. The larger fish are being caught on live Slimies and the smaller ones on Pilchards.

Black Marlin have been caught from the heads out to 60fa. With so much bait around there’s a good spread of them everywhere.

John and his dad fished early Tuesday morning for a mixed bag of Squid, Tailor and legal Kingfish.

Plenty of Big Snapper have been caught close inshore around the Wollongong area over the long weekend.

Angus Cochrane is pictured with a nice healthy red he pulled up over the long weekend on plastics.

A lot of Rat Kings have been caught around the Sea Cliff Bridge area over the last few days with the odd legal King thrown in the mix.

Salmon & Tailor have been prominent off rocky headlands, metal spinners are the go-to lures at the moment.

Both the Hill 60 & Bellambi area have been producing some nice Bonito off the rocks of late. Reports of huge schools of them not too far out off those areas too.

There are still plenty of Dolphinfish being caught around the FADs down the South Coast, Dan Brisbane recently landed a solid 16kg fish off one of them.

Reports of some really good Flathead and Bream caught down Lake Conjola over the weekend on plastics.

Lake Illawarra is still producing some nice Flathead, Jason Ryan and Brendon Boon bagged a few good ones with Flounder thrown in the mix too.
