Sydney & Wollongong Fishing Report

A fair few clubs participated in the Jervis Bay Marlin Shootout was held over the weekend. The Winning fish was caught by Guy Jamison, a 40kg Striped Marlin caught on 10kg line and was tagged and released unharmed, winning him and Tomahawk boat a healthy $10,000.

Some nice Snapper were caught in close off Wollongong over the weekend using Zman soft plastics.

The currents have slowed up now so the Dolphinfish are back out to play at the FADs.

Lake Illawarra is still fishing well at the moment even with the rain we have had recently. Gary, one of our Wollongong customers caught a nice Flathead in the lake on the Jackson Bottom Magic Saltwater Lure in colour NKP over the weekend.

Ian from our stores fished Lake Illawarra yesterday morning and landed himself a cracking Bream using the Samaki Vibelicious Fork Tail in colour clear mullet.

A couple of our Taren Point customers landed a few nice pan-sized Squid while fishing with the Odori Elite Squid Jigs over near Salmon Haul in the Port Hacking.

A few keen customers fished the southern shores of Botany Bay with the Cultiva Mira Shad Lures and landed themselves some nice Trevally.
