This model is a nice versatile model for use either in the estuary or offshore out of the boat. In the estuary you'd target species such as big flathead, jewfish, salmon etc. Offshore this can be used around shallow reefs or even just bottom bashing for fish like snapper, flathead, jewfish, cod etc. It's not super heavy so it will be a fun rod for offshore fishing, plenty of rod bending action!

Shimano Sentire Sakana Gen II 902 6-8kg Shore Spin Rod

This model is a fantastic beach/rock allrounder. Not too heavy or too light in line weight, it's suited for both bait and lure fishing, and casts like a champion! It has plenty of power in the bottom half of the rod and just enough flick in the tip to make sure casting distance is optimised without reducing the ability to fight and land good fish. At 9ft it's long enough to fish off both the beach and rocks, but not too long that it's hard to handle on the rocks when you're trying to bring up a fish. It's a nice thin profile rod for lightweight use and manoeuvrability.

Shimano Sentire Sakana Gen II 1202 5-10kg Surf Spin Rod

Built for the beach is all I have to say here. It's very similar to the 902 model above, just that little bit longer for a better cast and to keep the line above the waves more, and a little bit heavier to suit bigger sinkers and/or lures. Ideal for casting lures and a very nice bait rod too. It's a slim and low profile beach rod, not heavy and bulky like old school rods or cheaper model rods.
