This 24kg tuna & marlin combo is an incredibly versatile option for any fisho planning on trolling for either species, or live baiting for marlin. It's a quality combo that will last a lifetime, the Shimano Tiagra reels are one of the most popular on the market and the Shimano Tiagra Hyper Rods are the perfect fit for them and these fishing styles. You have the option of either the Tiagra 50WA or the Tiagra 50WLRSA, both are perfectly suited for running 24kg line and if that's the only line class you'll run then we'd recommend the 50WA, but if you're going to run a heavier 37kg line down the track the 50WLRSA is the better option for you. You also have the choice of a bent butt and a straight butt option for the Tiagra Hyper 24kg Fully Rollered Rod, which comes down to personal preference and preferred fishing styles. The Buku IGFA Class Mono is a high-quality game fishing monofilament line that's thinner than other lines on the market, meaning you can fit much more onto the reel. Both the 50WA and the 50WLRSA fit 1000m of 24kg Buku IGFA, which is a whole lot of line and still tournament legal.

Shimano’s Tiagra Hyper game rods have those desired custom features and performance at an affordable price. The X5 blanks these rods are built on have a reduced diameter, higher torsional twist resistance and greater resistance to overloading. The Hyper series also features the strongest, lightest game fishing componentry available; Rollers are Aftco, with oversized tips. They utilise Pac Bay Channel Lock Seats and custom detachable carbon butts. The fore-grips are Winn polymer that provides the custom-built look and function, at an affordable price.

Shimano Tiagra Game Reel

Not a lot needs to be said about the Shimano Tiagra reels, they're well and truly established in the game fishing market and for good reason, they're built simply, sturdily, and virtually impervious to the elements. They feature Shimano's Hydrothermal Drag System which minimises heat build-up when fighting long hard battles and maintains the correct drag pressure. What's more, the pre-lubricated graphite drag washers are saltwater resistant and always run smoothly. The one-piece machine-cut aluminium frame is thick and incredibly strong, good luck damaging that part of it. The reels also feature A-RB bearings, heavy-duty stainless steel gears, and a two-speed shifting mechanism where the pinion and drive gears are continuously meshed. The Tiagra 'A' series feature heavy gold anodising, a drilled drag quadrant with a drag curve suited to Australian conditions, and a specially designed rubberised power handle. The heavier anodising makes them highly resistant to the ravages of salt water, while the click stop drag quadrant permits more precise drag adjustments.

Buku IGFA Class Mono Line 1000m

Buku IGFA Tournament Mono Line is made for anglers fishing in competitions and/or those chasing record-breaking fish to be recognised by the International Game Fish Association. It's a high-quality monofilament line that's super tough, abrasion resistant and has superior knot strength. The unique feature of the Buku IGFA Class Mono Line is its diameter - it's much thinner than typical game lines. This gives both trophy hunters and tournament game fisherman a whole lot more line on their reel, which means much more time to stop the fish. To put it in perspective, Buku 37kg is about the same diameter as regular IGFA 24kg line, and Buku 24kg is similar to regular IGFA 15kg etc. It comes in three colours, two hi-vis (kryptonite & agent orange) and one low-vis (stealth).
