Whiting have been working their way across the sand flats, keep your eye out for their tails sticking out of the water when they dig away at the bottom. Flathead can be taken from Botany Bay using live poddy mullet, or you can even try and match the hatch with a 100mm Squidgy fish in the silver fox colour.

A few excited customers have been talking about the Flathead they’re catching up on the flats opposite Wally’s Wharf towards the north west arm of the Hacking. Whiting are being caught off the beaches around Cronulla. Salmon are being caught right up the Hacking River near Swallow Rock. Bigger Blackfish and Drummer can be found around most rocky headlands that have a bit of wash.
