Sydney & Wollongong Fishing Report

Andrew from our wollongong store fished early on the weekend off Wollongong and found some nice Snapper. He was in about 40m of water using soft plastics and managed a very nice 4.4kg red. The Z-man Scented Paddlerz 5″ in colour bleeding banana caught the fish in the end but he also dropped a bigger fish half way through the fight using a Z-man DieZel Minnowz 4″ in colour sexy penny.

A customer just came in saying he’s caught some solid Snapper up to 3kg while fishing off the rocks in Kiama.

Josh Chapple landed this solid red at the end of last week fishing with Zman Jerk Shadz out of the boat off Wollongong.

How’s this for weird, Harold’s pictured with a baby Swordfish that he caught the other day in just 10m of water about 200m off the rocks! You certainly don’t see that everyday!

Snapper are being caught in and around the Inshore Reefs of Port Hacking over the weekend using Baits.

Squid have also been around with reports of some up to the 1kg mark.

Big Schools of Tailor have been busting up throughout Port Hacking.

Taren Point customer Daniel caught the pictured flatty on a little Bottom Magic lure in Port Hacking recently.

Lilli Pilli drop-off in the Port Hacking area has been pretty active the last few weeks. Adam from our Taren Point store is pictured with a nice Kingfish and Tailor he caught on the Hayabusa Jack-Eye Shot Micro Jigs.He also caught the two solid Flathead pictured in the same area.

Mitch fished off Kiama yesterday morning with a couple of his favourite lures. He used the Jackson G-Controls and the Jackson Kaiken Stick Baits to trick a few Bonito.

Dolphinfish are still around the FADs off Wollongong with reports of some caught over the weekend.
